This website has been created as a learning resource and general information for students, and also to share ongoing research developments.

Terry Quigley graduated from the Ba(Hons) Visual Communication course at University of Ulster in 1998 before going on to complete a Masters in Computing & Design also at UU. Since graduating he has accumulated 6 years experience working as a graphic / multimedia designer and specialises in 3D graphics. He was a core team member at Fighting Bull Broadcast Technologies (FBBT) leading the graphics team in the development of international award winning broadcast software.

Among other prestigious projects Terry designed the Josef Locke memorial monument which is on permanant display at City Hotel in Derry. He gained invaluable experience working alongside internationally renowned sculptor Maurice Harron. He also successfully submitted the design for a tribute plaque to the Irish rock band Horslips and is currently in production.

Terry has since returned to work for the University of Ulster and is currently based at the School of Creative Arts, Magee where he works as an Academic Fellow in Digital Human Interaction. This concerns the visualisation and articulation of the human form using 3D graphics, interactive technologies, animation and motion capture.

As well as being active in Academic Enterprise and Community Outreach, Terry also lectures in Design and will be teaching the DES106 module ‘Introduction to Visual Communications this semester. More information about this module can be found under Teaching.
